Pioneer Retreat for
Men and Boys
September 24-26, 2010
The bustle of business and the stress
of school often weigh down even the strongest of us. Absorbed in the
constant motion of living life, it is all too easy to lose sight of the
one who gives us life. As fall moves into full swing, consider an
outdoor adventure to the pioneer site of Crestfield to re-center your
faith and connect with creation.
The theme of this pioneer retreat is
"Men in Motion: Moving with Christ." We will explore not just how
to make time for our faith, but how to make faith part of our busy
worlds.
The weekend is meant to be both relaxing and engaging, both enriching
and refreshing. When we are not moving our faith forward, we will be
playing the best of camp activities and making the most of a weekend in
nature. Year after year, summer campers report pioneer's greatest
strength to be its ability to dig deep into their faith and their
relationships. Consider this unique opportunity to grow closer to God,
to your family, and to a group of Christian men.
Our retreat leaders are Tony Angelini
and Mike Little. Tony is a middle school English and
Geography teacher in New Oxford. Outside of the classroom, he volunteers
as a Youth Advisor for Gettysburg Presbyterian Church. Mike
is the Buildings and Groundskeeper and Challenge Course Director at
Crestfield for the last three years. Many campers encounter him in the
tree for the zip line! He has one son and 3 daughters. Both Tony and
Mike are big kids at heart and very much enjoy interacting with children
and youth and exploring a deepening faith in Jesus Christ with them.
This retreat is for boys in 3rd grade
